PORTFOLIO BY JEFF ELROD - ART IN AMERICA
March 2013 - Since 1997, Jeff Elrod has been using basic software programs to create abstract paintings with a technique he calls "frictionless drawing." Here, he presents a portfolio of recent digital drawings for Art in America.
Contributors Note - A painter based in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Marfa, Tex., Jeff Elrod is represented in the collections of the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis; the Hirshhorn Museum, Washington, D.C.; and the Houston Museum of Fine Arts. He recently exhibited in New York at the Journal Gallery and Luhring Augustine Gallery, and in Madrid at Marlborough Gallery.
