As part of the gallery’s commitment to the development and promotion of artists’ careers, Talley Dunn Gallery has distinguished itself through its longstanding and ongoing relationships with museums and institutions nationally and internationally. Our knowledgeable and experienced gallery staff has the capacity to provide support at all stages of exhibition development and implementation, from group exhibitions to major career surveys to projects supporting the creation of new artwork. During the year, the gallery assists with numerous off-site exhibitions for museums and exhibition spaces throughout the country and abroad.
In addition, Talley Dunn Gallery encourages museums to acquire significant works of art by gallery artists for their permanent collections. Through an active dialogue with curators, artists, and patrons, our team has developed the skills necessary to assist with research questions for catalogue preparation, verifying provenance and contacting collectors, as well as assisting with appraisals and loan documentation, depending on the needs of the museum staff.
Over the years, Talley Dunn and her associates have enjoyed the opportunity to work with various museums and non-profit spaces, including the Dallas Museum of Art; the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art; the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Buenos Aires; the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth; the New Orleans Museum of Art; the Honolulu Museum of Art; the USF Contemporary Art Museum; the Sheldon Museum of Art; and the Whitney Museum of American Art, among others.
